Dishing it out One Dish At A Time

FOOD, FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD..........the art of grocery shopping, preparing each component, understanding different styles of cooking, serving delicious dishes and the satisfied gratefulness of those blissful faces glaring at you with that "yummy in my tummy" contentment, are the most rewarding experience for me to identify with.......My mother always says that my first words where "I'm starving" way before I ever said "mom" or "dad", so it’s no wonder that all things concerning food are enormously stimulating for me.

BUT, there is something even much more stimulating than food for me, so much so that at times I can’t believe it. I can’t believe that there would be a greater passion inside of me!! This is GOD and His endless overly abundant love, mercy and grace. Wow, how blessed are we to have a Father who is detailed enough to love us first in order to show us how to love and to give a most precious gift for our redemption, His only begotten Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.

He loved us so much that He made sure to leave us with plenty of sustenance for us to be satisfied throughout our short journey on earth and carry us on through eternity. That sustenance I speak of is His living Word, purposely made for us to have as guidance, comfort and food for our spirit! "Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts" Jeremiah 15:16

I am so thankful for that incessantly satisfying provision and for His call to us before the foundations of the world, which caused us to walk boldly to have had the courage and will to answer. I believe that there is no coincidence that the Word of God is compared to FOOD. Food is very necessary for the survival of all the living creatures. We use food in celebrations, in nurturing, in loving (nothing like mom’s cooking!) and in many situations throughout history.

Therefore, I want to persuade you to eat up as much of God’s Word as you can daily and when you get physically hungry, GET COOKING!!

It is my heart to encourage you to step out of the box and into your comfort zone in the kitchen; to facilitate the freedom for you to create and play with ingredients and flavors, by creating and explaining fantastic food effortlessly made, giving you great ideas for entertaining & decorating for a great gathering, providing tips on healthy eating, introducing innovative alternatives and presenting quick fixes in a time jam… … …I am confident that we will do it all One Dish At A Time!!
